Cindy Pavlinac’s Summary

I am an on artist on a mission, traveling as a seeker, on a pilgrimage for expressions of the extraordinary, tracking remnants of alignment and clues to ancient wisdom. As a photographer, I create images out of phantoms in the corner of my eye, working ceremonially, intuitively, determinedly, and decisively to communicate the beauty and power and presence of place. As a writer, I map terrain, scouting ahead, surveying landscapes, and returning with tales of keys which unlock readers’ and viewers’ own journeys of pilgrimage.

Cindy Pavlinac’s Experience

  • Resident Studio Artist

    Art Works Downtown

    (Fine Art industry)

    1997Present (12 years )

I am a founding artist at Art Works Downtown, placing my fine art photography in the stream of possibility. Framed photo subjects explore prehistoric sites, archaeoastronomy, labyrinths, classic cars, aerospace, dance, tech fairs, and Ren Faires. I teach individual photography in my studio, host interns, and photograph artwork for artists. Besides framed fine art photography and digital photo composites, my studio contains fused glass and assemblage. Also on hand are books, music CDs, post cards, cards, and small art gifts featuring my images. I am an independent multimedia producer, content provider, and creative consultant. My image library provides editorial, rights managed stock for publication, web, AV production. Hours by appointment and chance.

  • Owner/ Operator

    Sacred Land Photography

    (Fine Art industry)

    1984Present (25 years )

I specialize in images which convey the beauty, mystery, and power of place. I work on location throughout Europe and North America photographing ancient sanctuaries and modern expressions of the sacred. Since my first photo exhibit in 1974 my fine art photography has been collected, won awards, and appeared in over 800 publications. I produce multimedia presentations featuring historic and prehistoric sites, rock art and labyrinths. I am an independent multimedia producer, content provider, and creative consultant. My Labyrinths of Spirit and Grace Image Library and photography of historic and prehistoric sites provides editorial, rights managed stock photos for publication, print, web, and AV production. I also design book covers and CD artwork for authors and musicians.

I’ve been visiting special places since Apollo whispered to me in Delphi, Greece in 1977, charging me to bridge the ancient with the modern. I aim to inspire people through images, words, music, and performance towards a hope filled future.

Our organization is dedicated to educating writers of all levels and disciplines in the craft of writing and in the marketing of their work. Our branches hold regular meetings with informative speakers and opportunities for networking with fellow writers and publishing industry specialists.

I am one of the founding members of the Marin Branch, chartered in 1999. We meet the 4th Sunday at Book Passage in Corte Madera, drawing writers from all over the Bay Area. Our meetings have featured authors, publishers, agents, lawyers, bloggers, printers, marketers, and other writing professionals. Our branch has a critique group registry and plans several writing outings and informal gatherings during the year. We're here to inspire, inform, encourage, network, and remind writers to have fun.
