I've been working with emerging technologies for almost 16 years from early desktop publishing at TV Guide, through the internet boom years at EarthWeb and Sesame Workshop, and 6 years with Wunderman, a year at Domani Studios and currently at Euro RSCG.
I'm open to anything; agency, client-side or startup. My specialty at this point is Ruby on Rails, Location Based Services and "mash-up" style development, but I've been managing traditional Web development project's for over 12 years in every language imaginable. I'm especially fond of integrating data backends (custom and CMS) with rich front end environments.
A few years ago I started Mologogo.com with Jason Uechi and its still going strong with over 100k registered users. I'd be interested in taking funding to take Mologogo to the next level, or doing custom LBS builds for clients.
Feel free to contact me with any opportunities.

Euro RSCG is a Global Advertising Agency with a strong digital offering. I’ve been lucky to inherit and be able to build a great team in my short tenure here to date. I’ve already delivered significant websites, had a strong influence on formal process development and started a Web 2.0 training series which had it’s first event in November. We have also built a few Facebook apps, which is fun for me as I really enjoy social networking application development. I played a significant part in several new business wins and am looking forward to drive them forward in the new year.

Domani Studios is a high-end web development shop in “Dumbo” Brooklyn. I managed a team of 10-12 Flash and HTML Developers. I was responsible for all of their servers, both for internal needs and client hosting.
Domani Studios Highlights:
Managed technical development of Starbucks www.itsredagain.com campaign site. (http://dev.domanistudios.com/cheerchain_beta/ is our archive of the site)
This was their Holiday 2007 promotion and it had very demanding requirements.
Managed architecture, Development and Deployment of www.allstategarage.com. I personally developed the backend of this site with Ruby On Rails and also developed the front end for the “Plan A Ride” section which leveraged Google maps to allow users to create their own motorcycle routes and share them with other site users or their friends. Site leveraged Flash using AS3 and AJAX using the Prototype.js library to provide a dynamic and interactive user experience across both the Flash and HTML versions of the site.

While at Sesame we developed a rich set of functionality parents and children around the great Sesame brand and content.
Our team of 12 created a robust hosting infrastructure and managed Sun equipment in a enterprise class co-location space, and launched a rich interactive websites using Vignette.
In 1997, Vignette was just a core tool set(no features). I designed an "object oriented" data schema that was optimized for performance and versatility. One of our developers took this architecture with him to when he joined Vignette as a professional services developer and they adopted it as their standard design.
Cutting edge apps:
Stickerworld: myspace for kids 7-11, with safe kid to kid communication in 1998.
Passport kids: mapping mashups and multilingual social network for tweens in 1999.
Data driven flash: the sesame homepage and section pages were redesigned as data driven flash navigation and experiences in 2000.

I spent the majority of my time at Grey Interactive managing technical development for clients such as Dell, Liz Claiborne, and AT&T.
These were great opportunities to help major brands scale and adjust to interactive opportunities when it was all still very new.
While at Grey Interactive I built their internal hour tracking system in ASP, and designed an Ad flight management system for MediaCom.

I was the first full time employee at EarthWeb.
EarthWeb was an early web startup in NY. We created the first websites for NYSE, Metropolitan Museum of Art and the first commerce site for BMG record club.
I was the whole webshop when we started, being the Art Director, System Administrator and Web Developer.
I spent the majority of my time there as Art director which also served as lead project manager and producer.
I took the role as a senior producer for a multi-million dollar project for US West called dive-in which was essentially a huge User Generated Content site targeted at suburban moms. It was launched in 50 cities and ran for several years.

At Ithaca, I became deeply involved in the computer lab and became BMOC, big mac user on campus, to the point that an article was written about me in the school paper. I convinced a local business man with Pagemaker 1.0 to train me on it and I worked for him and did the first ever digital layout for several school newspapers. In 1988, I left school and started my digital publishing career full time.
