In 1994, a few friends and I started Information Fusion Pte Ltd. I was responsible for product development. Nurturing the Company from a start-up to one of the fastest growing e-Business Solutions Provider. From year 2000, I assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of iFusion and steered the company towards realising its vision, to be a world-class player in Value Chain Integration. In 2003, the intellectual property rights (IP) and the company was sold to one of its early investors.
I then moved on to be the CTO of Comex Frontier Pte Ltd. There I managed the entire product management of its range of Supply Chain Execution software, taking it from predominantly a local player into an Asia Pacific-wide product company. In 2005, Comex was acquired by Four Soft Ltd, a listed company based out of India. Towards the end of 2006, working in Four Soft has broaden my perspective as to how software products are successfully commercialized globally. I then decided to devote my efforts in helping Singapore based technology companies commercialize their products and grow their markets globally. To that end, I joined A*STAR Singapore, a government funded organization. There, I worked in the commercialization arm whose charter is to identify promising technologies created by research institutes under A*STAR. This includes analysing the strength of the IPs and working with companies to commercialise the technologies.
Taking technologies commercialisation to the next level, I was motivated to move into venture capital and private equity. In Oct 2007, I joined the National University of Singapore (NUS) to re-boot its venture capital arm to create globally competitive technology based companies.
In June 2008, I decided to create an early stage venture fund to invest in high growth early stage companies in the digital media industry. At the same time, I work with some of these companies as an executive advisor to bring them to the next level of their growth.
