Christopher Swain’s Summary

I am a classic true entrepreneur! Yes, I was formally trained as an economist, but I think that endeavor really enhanced my ability to think critically and solve difficult problems. This training, along with my entrepreneur passions have allowed me to pursue challenges and achieve success in many diverse and various businesses.

I consider myself a life long student in the area of success and achievement training and continuously strive to be the best at what I do.

Most of my business career has been focused in the financial, wealth, tax planning and real estate investment fields. Recently, I have diversified my practice to focus on and enhance its involvement into internet acquisition and development to create a new portfolio for myself and my clients to take advantage of the web2.0 opportunities.

Christopher Swain’s Specialties:

I specialize in taking arcane and obtuse topics and concepts and putting them into terms people can understand. I consider myself an innovator at developing new and fresh approaches to today's problems, and a master motivator to my clients and staff to achieve not only success in business, but success in life.

I appreciate, demand and expect excellence from me and my staff in everything that we do, anything less is intolerable.

I was Carrot Juice Swain! My Grandma loved carrot juice and before O.J. was a ..., Grandma shouted "go C.J." at my games. I loved my Granny and she was a big supporter for both me and the league.

Yes, it was a job and fun. Every season we had to raise money for uniforms and always had bike marothons and raffle ticket sales. Hey, guess what? I always won because I HAD TO BE THE BEST EVEN BACK THEN. Winning is a mindset, and I wasn't losing even then.If you don't think that was important, well, I have a question for you " what are you doing looking at what I did 30 years ago?"

If you really want to get the most out of yourself, perhaps you should check out my blog at www.askchrisswain.com or just see what I did by age ... oh 16.

Thanks for everything, and thanks so much for checking out my story,

    Christopher J. Swain

Swain $ Randall Mowing Services, PPL (Sole Proprietorship)

(Sole Proprietorship; 1-10 employees; Real Estate industry)

Yeah, me and David rocked at this job! We made over $5000 a season! Heck, back then they didn't even have the nanny tax. Wow, thinking back, if that was adjusted for inflation, I could have retired with those efforts. Hmmmm, yeah I think I did, because look at me now. If your reading this far back ... hey, it's funny and what are you doing with your time right now? Check out my blog at www.askchrisswain.com how I made it big at 7 years old for the real story.

I really loved that mowing job, if you really cared, btw, and lol,

    Chris

    (Self-Employed; Myself Only; Farming industry)

    July 1976April 1978 (1 year 10 months)

Well, I got my first professional "paid job" at age 7 from Ms. Wheller spreading chicken poop on her roses for $1.75 an hour. Opps, not that far back? Right, professional with a degree ( I did have a Future Farmer of America certificate however).

Well, I guess I had a strong work ethic and one day would dream of owning my own business. Hmmmm, I guess I did it! No more poop to shovel on those roses.

Christopher Swain’s Education

  • Florida State University

    Master of Science , Economics , 19901991

While pursuing my Master's Degree, my concentration and specialization was in the area of economic theory and the law. I was planning on becoming a antitrust attorney, which at the time required at least a Master's degree in economics. Instead of dual enrolling in the F.S.U. Law School for 4 years, I determined a M.S. in economics was all I needed to get me heading on the right career track. Thinking back, I'm grateful for not spending another 3 years in school on theory.

  • Florida State University

    Bachelor Of Science , Economics , 19871990

During my undergraduate tenure I was a research assistant for the Department of Economics. I helped Dr. Fredrick Bell, which was a proctor for my Master's Thesis entitled "The Theory of the Core" (which can be downloaded at my blog at www.askchrisswain.com, along with Dr. Gary Fourier and William Sass, to help him on many econometric models. Dr. Bell at the time was working with one of Florida State's Economic Department's prestigious graduates Dr. Manuel Johnson. Manuel Johnson, is a former Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve. At the time of my enrollment, FSU had the largest super computer in the world and was testing econometric modeling for the Federal Reserve in this capacity.

I'm interested in in so many things. My favorite past time is conversing, networking and exchanging ideas with like minded creative and entrepreneur type people. If you really want to know more about me, then check out my blog at www.askchrisswain.com and if you want even more check out the myspace link. I just think being redundant is ... well as an economist a waste of resources.
