As the Social Technology Strategist for Office of Undergraduate Education at the University of Kentucky, I work with faculty, staff and students to develop, maintain and expand the use of social technologies in the promotion of undergraduate success and retention. This includes managing our private undergraduate social network, maintaining a personal and institutional Twitter presence (and working with other campus offices to do the same), building engagement in Second Life, and exploring the use of other social technologies such as ARGs, games, Facebook, LinkedIn, social bookmarking and online video.

August 2005 — August 2009 (4 years 1 month)
As a Lecturer in the Political Science Department at the University of Kentucky, I developed and taught multiple courses each semester ranging from Kentucky and Appalachian Politics to Political Theory to American Government. In every course I worked to teach not only the substantive material of the course, but also to push the limits of conventional pedagogy by radical incorporation of social technologies (such as blogs, microblogging, wikis and Second Life). I also served as Director of Undergraduate Studies for the department from 2007-2008 and as Internship Director from 2007-2009.
