In 1999, I entered the healthcare arena. Over 7 years of employment within a large academic medical center's laboratory services department granted the opportunity to expand my healthcare knowledge, provide quality patient care, enhance my customer service skills, and supervise a team of laboratory professionals that provided the highest quality service to internal and external customers.
In late 2006, I assumed an Administrator role with a small home health care agency. I learned the rules of Medicaid, the relationships that healthcare providers must maintain with parties such as the Department of Job and Family Services and Managed Care Organizations, and the process of intake and admission of clients.
The year 2007, as a Nurse Recruiter, I established win-win relationships with hospitals, medical centers, and health professionals. Using my knowledge of healthcare institutions, customer service, and organizational structures, I matched quality health professionals with quality medical organizations. Using my skillset, work ethic, and the organization's commitment to excellence (quality, responsiveness, and integrity), I provided quality service to nursing professionals and healthcare organizations.
In 2008, I was promoted to Manager; in this leadership role, I was able to continue successfully matching quality healthcare professionals with quality healthcare facilities, and close business relationships with three healthcare systems outside of a vendor management forum.
In the summer of 2008, I joined a growing laboratory system as an Operations Supervisor. Excited to be back in medical laboratories, I continue to enhance my knowledge of all aspects of laboratory, to include phlebotomy, pre-analytical operations, testing, marketing, client relations, and financials. As a Laboratory Manager within this growing system, I am looking forward to growth, organizational success, and the success of my team.
