Christine Riordan became the 15th dean of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver on July 21st, 2008. The Daniels College of Business has 874 graduate and 2,356 undergraduate students enrolled in its programs. The college is nationally recognized as one of the top seven schools in the world for producing graduates with high ethical standards (The Wall Street Journal) and is ranked among the top business schools in the world by leading business publications such as Business Week, US News and World Report, The Wall Street Journal, and Princeton Review.
From 2005-2008, Dr. Riordan was the Associate Dean for External Relations at TCU where she guided marketing, public relations, corporate relations and alumni relations, and oversaw the Tandy Center for Executive Leadership. She was the Luther Henderson University Chair in Leadership and a Professor of Management.
Prior to joining TCU, Dr. Riordan was in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in Athens. From 1995 – 2005, she served as Director of the Institute for Leadership Advancement. She also founded the Waffle House Executive Leadership Program, worked on Governor Sonny Perdue’s Leadership Development Task Force for the Commission for New Georgia, and was invited to help design the Executive Leadership Program for state agency department heads. Dr. Riordan is Past President of the Southern Management Association, a nonprofit professional association.
For seven years, Dr. Riordan has served as Executive Consultant in Leadership for the Southern Zone of State Farm Insurance Cos. She has designed consulting, executive coaching and leadership development programs for businesses and organizations such as: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, Waffle House, AT&T, Regions Bank, Fannie Mae, IBM, the State of Georgia, and the Life Office Management Association Inc.
