June 1997 — February 2006 (8 years 9 months)
This was my first full time job after graduating from college. I began this position as an entry-level Computer Technician and was quickly promoted into the position of WAN Adminitrator after just 1 year of service.
NCMS is a small company of about 30 employees and about 200 member companies. My primary duties as the Computer Technician was to service the on-site staff with all of their desktop support needs.
My primary duties as WAN Administrator was the support and maintenance of our Windows Server systems and networking infrastructure. In both positions I also serviced a number of building tenants providing desktop, server, and network support. My overall user base was approximately 100.
My reason for leaving was because of the opportunity offered by Associa (my current employer). Associa is a much larger company and they presented me with exciting challenges and opportunities that simply were not available in a small company.

October 1994 — May 1997 (2 years 8 months)
This was a job I held during my time at college. It was a part time job that I did after classes. My primary duties were answering the phone and assisting the library patrons with information.
I went beyond my assigned duties and helped with data entry in the Libraries catalog as well as developed their first web site. The web site was recognized by many as providing valuable information to patrons.
My reason for leaving was that I was graduating from college and I found a full time professional opportunity. It was always understood between me and my manger that my plan was to graduate and find a full time job and begin a professional career.

October 1992 — August 1994 (1 year 11 months)
This was a cooperative education job sponsored through my high school. During my time as a receptionist I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and training in customer service and business professional skills. I feel very lucky and fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a group of people who mentored me.
My primary duties included answering phones and assisting tourists with visitor information. Special projects were also part of the job from time to time.
During my time at the this job I was nominated for the school-sponsored Co-op Student of the Year and won the award in recognition of my hard work and performance.
My reason for leaving this job was that I was moving to Ann Arbor to attend College. It was always understood between me and my employer that would be my plan. Even after leaving for college I still returned as a member of the "Wilkomen Club" and volunteered my time to the community.
