I have managed large productions for international broadcasters' occasional Southern California productions. In this capacity I handled all location related budgeting, crewing, outside resource sourcing (including satellite and/or fiber transmission services, production equipment rental, support equipment services, makeup and catering) before the program's regular production leadership arrived in country. Crews for these productions varied in size from three to nearly three hundred. On the day of the production I would turn over authority to the credited producer and serve as his/her assistant. For this service my only end credit was typically "special thanks" because the program's normal production crew received all their normal credits. I served in this capacity for:
• Seven comedy specials
• One Australian Ironman competition
• Two major awards programs
• 20+ multi-camera studio productions
• 200+ in-studio and/or remote location interviews
• Four remote corporate events

• Worked with London-based chief engineer to assess problems with and design solutions for their new multi-tiered (global, regional and local) commercial cueing system.
• Liaised by phone, fax, email and face-to-face with network origination personnel, component manufacturers, Asian, European and North American service providers and local cable head-ends around the globe to solve practical issues and actually make the systems work.
• Project required enough creativity, imagination and technical knowledge to specifying features and functions of electronic components that had not previously existed, enough hands-on skill to personally install same systems, and enough mental fortitude to stay on the job site until the system worked – the Singapore installation required two trips, of two weeks each.
• Project also required the ability to train personnel and provide impromptu and ad hoc technical support to both service providers and clients.
