The last years we have a significant change in the internet. The whole social impact that is going on, for a few years now, is quiet amazing.
How technology changes behavior with people.
While Facebook changed peoples lives, and companies learn how to use this social phenomenan in selling their product, building company image, and create fans is challenging.
Another shift is that the internet is mature for products, automated processes, stimulating innovation, and different views, because of a worldwide access. Video content explosion as broadband access is available almost everywhere.
Mobile devices as a different distribution model, a portal to the cloud.
All very fascinating evolutions. So my experience, goes way back to 1989, things were a bit different then, electronic productions where a cumbersome process, but little did we know...
What I learned, that everything changes constantly, meeting the right people at the right time, being in places where things are hot and dynamic and where new ideas develop, some fail some don't and get very big.
I still am fascinated about all the these things and people around me, who shaped my thoughts and carrière a long the way.
What did I do:
Early '90's Cdrom productions with Macromedia Director
Mid 90's project management in early internet phase
2000, owner of multimediacollege, an authorized Macromedia training partner, and sold that to an international group, where it still has its own brand and life.
2007 having different challenges at Howest technical university, Kortrijk, plugmedia a cluster organization for the new media industry, and kicking off an accelerator for startups in the creative sector.
