A proven, transformational, entrepreneurial international CEO, board member, and private equity partner. Mr.Munro has designed, developed, led and repositioned public, private and private equity owned $200m to $6bn product, service and manufacturing businesses in Western Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas. He possesses an exemplary track record of achieving significant and sustainable stakeholder value based upon strong execution skills coupled with strategic repositioning, acquisitions, deep customer relationships and developing high performing process orientated leadership teams.
He possesses a deep understanding of company leadership at national, international and global levels, including strategy, board management, company general management, operations, customer development, manufacturing, supply chain, outsourcing, financial re-engineering, mergers and acquisitions, government/lobby groups and new country entry and development plans.
Currently as Managing Director/Operating Partner of a mid sized private equity fund he has helped design, acquire and operate four North American logistics platform concepts. Most recently, as CEO, Mr. Munro has built a private equity sponsored $500m group into the NA market leader in the intermodal logistics market place.
His last three private equity experiences highlight he designs high impact strategies, successfully sources and closes of transactions. In addition he consistently financially re-engineers, executes operational and strategic step changes. This has been done in public, private as well as inside a chapter 11settings. He has delivered sustainable growth engines and lasting high performing leadership teams. The end results have been measured in hundreds of millions of dollars of shareholder value.
