As a Meal Group Coach (volunteer) I oversaw a team of Meal Group Leaders (our Small Group Ministry). I assisted with the transition from a traditional Small Group system to Meal Groups, which resulted in the church growing from roughly 120 people in our small group ministry to over 600 people in our Meal Group ministry. As a coach I helped group leaders grow, and helped them through any struggles and problems they had. I also served as a Meal Group Leader, and Meal Group Host.
Meal Groups are spaces for people at Crossroads to grow in their love for God as they follow Jesus with a few other people. These groups are comprised of 8-12 people who gather to:
CONNECT through sharing stories;
PRAY for one another;
LEARN together through a book study;
SERVE others in the community.
Groups meet three times per month--twice a month in a home to eat, pray and discuss a book, and once a month to serve others in the Twin Cities area.
