As part of the State of California’s largest IT department, our team creates, maintains, updates and monitors images for more than 6500 users across a variety of platforms in addition to providing the highest level of support for the most complex problems. In addition to the above, I have trained local and field staff, tested software, automated processes and worked on finding low or no cost alternatives such as open source programs as we strive to maintain the highest level of efficiency for the tax payer.

Within the Fed/State Special Audit Section, duties included the analysis of confidential taxpayer information provided from the IRS to determine under or overpayment of tax debt, the issuance of notices to the relevant parties as required, and responsibility for varying levels of tax payer correspondence to resolve the afore mentioned notices. Furthermore, I helped to streamline procedures for several workloads to increase efficiency & production in addition to catching a minor flaw causing underassessment of some taxpayers with underreported incomes. I acted as a lead for an unauthorized disclosure cleanup incident created by an automated program. I was an integral part of the Fedstar II system test & training team for which I received a Gold Superior Accomplishment Award in 2008.
