Graphic/Web Designer at Meridian Fund Services
Greater Philadelphia Area
I've been involved in the graphic design industry for about five years now. I began my career interning at Odd Graphic in Collingswood, NJ (They have since grown and moved to Fort Washington, PA).
After that, I moved to ALM, a large legal publishing company, with offices all over the US. I worked out of the Center City office, working on pretty much every type of print project one can think of. Logos, advertisements, book covers, newspaper and magazine layout from start to finish (including prepping everything for press), et cetera.
I've since taken an opportunity in Cambridge, MA as a graphic/web designer for Meridian Fund Services, a hedge fund administration group. Here I have developed the skills necessary to pursue a successful web design career.
Aside from the necessary tools — Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, HTML, CSS (I also have a little bit of knowledge of Flash, ActionScript, PHP and Javascript) — I am familiar and experienced in all aspects of print design, publication layout and design, branding and identity, and Web site design and development.
