NCBTMB has over 90,000 current certificants in all 50 states, and the number is growing as the demand for therapeutic massage increases. NCB also advocates for national certification to be accepted in all 50 states for licensure purposes; currently, 33 states and the Disctrict of Columbia accept the NCBTMB credential in their licensure requirements.

Founded in 1973, AADE is a multi-disciplinary professional membership organization dedicated to advancing the practice of diabetes self-management training and care as integral components of health care for persons with diabetes, and lifestyle management for the prevention of diabetes. AADE assists its 11,000 nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, physician and other members by providing a large (7,500-person) annual meeting, an extensive program of live and Web-based education and training courses, a core curriculum and other publications, a peer-reviewed scientific journal, clinical position statements and standards, credentialing, public policy advocacy, public affairs, and an outcomes measurement data repository initiative, among other programs. AADEs affiliates include an Education and Research Foundation (managed internally by AADE), a National Certification Board of Diabetes Education (an independent credentialing body), and a for-profit subsidiary, AADE Services.
