Then how do you make that better marketer more relevant in the 21st century? You send him to school for web design and have him build websites and then learn SEO and PPC.

Next you mix in 18 months of agency experience to give him a well rounded perspective of marketing. Including an immersion into Social Marketing by creating blogs, and rocketing them to the top of the rankings. Being sure to touch all of the bases of email marketing, web site usability, link building and working with a myriad of companies from small to Fortune 500.
