Chris Kersbergen holds a bachelor in Communications from the Hogeschool Utrecht and a master in Politics & Communications from the VU University Amsterdam and followed different business and leadership courses at amongst others HARVARD Business School (Boston, US), INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France), Better Future (Gambia, Africa) and the ING Business School (with IMD).
After three years within ING's Group Human Resources department as Manager HR Communications and Employer Branding, he transferred to ING's Global Marketing team early 2008 playing several international marketing roles and coordinating ING's leading (re)branding programme for Europe and Latin-America. In addition to this role, he currently heads up the part of the marketing team responsible for global Brand Activation and Brand Identity.
Before joining ING he was a business director at BBDO's inc-21, company branding & consultancy, with responsibility for clients like Philips, Postbank, Interpolis, ABN Amro, Randstad, Peoplesoft and Simmons & Simmons. Before that he spend seven years with Euro RSCG Bikker, where he was a partner and senior consultant and responsible for clients like Unilever, Robeco, Rabobank, Clifford Chance, Heineken, Samsonite, Nutricia, LU/General Biscuits and chello.
He is founder and coordinator of the 'HR Communications' expertise group of Logeion (Dutch communication association) and a Supervisory Board Member of the Dutch Youth Foundation 'Jantje Beton'.
