Chris Jarvis’ journey began on the streets of Toronto where he was confronted with an array of harsh realities including prostitution, drugs, and homelessness. It was in this environment that he experienced a life-altering moment of epiphany that enabled him, with the guidance of friendship and conversation, to begin to receive vital gifts held out to him by the hands of those often deemed “needy.”
Chris is confident that moments of epiphany which lead to a journey of transformation are necessary for a life well-lived. Since his street work in Toronto, he has tenaciously pursued a mission to invite others to these moments, found when we choose to step beyond our known comfort zones.
The Senior Consultant for Realized Worth located in Toronto, Chris offers his expertise in designing and implementing Employee Volunteer Programs. Over the past 20 years, he has worked alongside NPO's across North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia utilizing a model that elevates volunteerism from a task-oriented experience to a transformative experience. The model consistently realizes high participation and satisfaction rates. Participants become more invigorated and productive in their respective places of employment.
A popular speaker, Chris offers inspiring presentations to audiences as large as 7000 people a dozen times per year. His style of wrapping gripping story lines around key observations has proven to be an effective method to capture and keep an audiences attention. Over his speaking career, Chris has delivered presentations to over 50,000 people in Canada, the US, Australia, and Africa.
Chris is the proud father of four children, each of whom are rigorously working to transform him into a better dad. He writes for a popular blog with avid readers from all over the globe (http://realizedworth.blogspot.com) and currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, where he co-founded Realized Worth with his partner, Angela Parker.

A couple testimonials from a recent speaking engagement;
“Chris is an exuberant presenter and engages his audience from the moment he starts speaking. His wit and playful approach to teaching and facilitating made attending his workshop a pleasure. His examples, in particular, made it possible to really absorb and understand the material… as did the anecdotes he shared with the group. Finally, I got the distinct impression that Chris was there to not only share with us, but to learn from and with us – and I value that highly in a presenter. I will seek out other opportunities to hear Chris speak – I really enjoyed being a part of his audience.”
