President of New Marketing Labs
Greater Boston Area
As president of New Marketing Labs, my role is to build and execute strategies for companies seeking to engage their community via the social web. We focus on four core areas: listening, content marketing, community management, and outreach programs. Acting as a hybrid social media PR/communications organization, New Marketing Labs extends your other channels into the new world of the web.
I also operate the Inbound Marketing Summit and New Marketing Experience conferences, a series of events dedicated to educating businesses on the potential of Internet marketing and communications and featuring the brightest practitioners available. We run several single day Inbound Marketing Bootcamp events all over the US as well. (Contact me to discuss scheduling one for your area).
Outside of work, I speak at several conferences a year ( see http://www.chrisbrogan.com/connect) and blog about social media business strategy at http://www.chrisbrogan.com . My blog is in the Technorati Top 100 and the Advertising Age Top 5.
I am co-founder of the new media community conference series, PodCamp, and am co-founder of ThirdTribeMarketing.com
I am co-author of the New York Times Bestselling Trust Agents, with Julien Smith. ( http://bit.ly/buy-ta )

Third Tribe Marketing is an online forum for marketers interested in approaches and tactics around online marketing. If one tribe are the scammy/spammy Internet marketers, and another tribe are the kumbaya marketers who don't really ask for the sale, Third Tribe is somewhere in the middle. We look for ways to execute effective marketing (both for larger companies and for smaller organizations).
It's a paid membership site (only $47 a month), where any one idea in the forums or in our content is worth 10 or more times that (or so the testimonials keep reporting).
Co-founded with Brian Clark (copyblogger.com), Darren Rowse (problogger.net) and Sonia Simone (remarkable communications).

New Marketing Labs is a hybrid social media agency dedicated to implementing business strategy for companies seeking to use social media tools (blogging, social networks, podcasting, video, and more) to enhance their communications and marketing strategies. We tie new media and online skills to formal business goals, and share how these tools can extend your capabilities.
Related to this, we host educational conferences, including the Inbound Marketing Summit (http://www.inboundmarketingsummit.com), several Inbound Marketing Bootcamps, and other events related to the world of Internet marketing, social media, and online community management.
We are based physically in Massachusetts, in the US.

PodCamp is a conference dedicated to helping people understand new media community tools (blogging, podcasting, videoblogging, social media) to extend relationships and build digital communities. Founded in September 2006 with Christopher S. Penn, the event has seen over a dozen implementations across the world, with another dozen already slated for 2007-2008 so far.
This position taught me everything from fundraising to event planning, including logistics and small conference organization. Since launching PodCamp, we have started the PodCamp Foundation to help other organizers better execute their events.

I believe a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.
I've been a professional speaker since 2006. Since then, I've given hundreds of speeches and keynotes, led dozens of workshops and webinars, and have made every one as unique and as memorable as possible.
My topics have changed over the years, and the best way to find what's current is to visit:
http://chrisbrogan.com/connect
There, you'll see my current speaking topics (though we can always create something for your vertical), you'll see videos of my speeches, and you'll get some sense of where I've spoken lately, though I haven't kept up with that part.
I strive to be both entertaining and informative, and I never leave a speech without giving industry-specific takeaways.
