Charles Hofacker is Professor of Marketing at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Service Research and Journal of Interactive Marketing and other journals. When not working on academic pursuits, Charles rides and races bicycles.

While getting my degree, I worked in User Services for the main UCLA computing center. After graduating, I ran the Social Sciences Computing center. As a student, I took any quantitative course I could get my hands on in Psychology and Economics.

During my stay at CSUN, I worked as a junior assistant computer programmer for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. Part of the price I paid to learn FORTRAN was that I also had to learn COBOL. I met my wife at CSUN while we were both getting Masters in Psychology.
