Installation & Licensing Specialist at The MathWorks
Greater Boston Area
I always am also working for myself on my writing, ceramic art, and websites.
I am currently working at The MathWorks for the install and licensing team. We're customer support and IT specialists. I work with seven other guys and my awesome manager to make MATLAB and its toolboxes work on YOUR computer/network configuration. We are known as the MATLAB fairies and also the MATLAB ninjas.
I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
I work with networking issues on various types of configurations (servers, redundant servers, hot backup servers, distributed computing) across many platforms. I troubleshoot problems with various flavors of Windows and Unix (Linux, Solaris, Mac OSX) on a daily basis. This can be kind of difficult through email and the phone, but somehow we do it, and we do it well in my team.
