Jaime Chanaga’s Summary
Jaime Chanaga is one of those rare people who can say he is a consultant, speaker and author and mean it. For more than a decade Jaime has been privileged to serve and assist leading organizations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, on a wide range of issues on strategy, technology, and information security management.
As a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a large healthcare system, his organization was awarded an InfoWorld Top 100 Award (2004) for his work in securing electronic medical records of over 2.3 million patients. His career has been dedicated to helping leaders and organizations solve critical strategic issues and make lasting substantial improvements in their performance.
Jaime contributes to the thought leadership of the information security industry by serving on the Editorial Advisory Board for SC Magazine, the CSO Advisory Board for Qualys, Inc., and serves on and boards for other technology companies, and engages in industry conferences. He is also a co-author of the book “Corporate Security in the Information Age: Industry Leaders on Security Options, Protecting Assets, & Implementing a Strategy” (ISBN: 1596221496).
He is also actively involved in the business community and serves as a member of InfraGard, a partnership between the FBI and private industry focused on cooperation on matters related to counterterrorism, cyber crime, and other major crime programs.
Jaime is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
