Håkan Nordgren’s Summary

My present assignment is in the National eHealth initiative in Sweden. Working with SnoMed Ct and EN 13606 etc, responsible for the clinical and business oriented architecture and regulatory issues. I am also still practicing medicine as a Consultant Peadiatrician.

At Cambio Healthcare Systems I worked as Chief Medical Officer with responsibilities of patient safety, as spokesperson for the company, business development, lobbying and contacts with authorities and standardizing bodies.

At AstraZeneca I worked as Medical Director, where my responsibilities included contacts with customers, authorities, researchers, the benefits board, marketing and sales departments etc. I developed new research studies, simulation models, etc.

I have worked as Management Consultant with customers among Pharmaceutical companies, ICT companies and the health care sector. I did som work on Lean HealthCare in the early 90-ties.

I started once as an IT-developer working with large administrative data systems.
I introduced the BioInformatics in the Karolinska Institue in the early 80-ties.
I have done research in Molecular Biology, Clinical Physiology and in Health Economics.

I became Pediatrician subspecialised in allergology with significant clinical experience. During my work in several hospital in Stockholm county council I was involved in several projects including the introduction of DRG, development of Astrid Lindgrens Childrens Centre (ALB) and many more. I had leading roles in the procurement, development, implementation of several electronic health information systems for the hospitals in Stockholm.
I had the position as Chief Development Officer in Huddinge University Hospital working with the digitalization of the whole hospital and also the introduction of process follow up systems.

My goal is to be in charge of a large health care organization that is developing into the future where the patient really is in focus.
