Executive Director - Young Professionals of Central Virginia
Lynchburg, Virginia Area
Abe graduated from Albion College in 2001, after 4 years, with a double major in English and Visual Arts while starting and leading a Campus Crusade for Christ ministry, serving as President of 3 other organizations, presiding on his fraternity's executive committee, participating in Class Council, leading a local youth group, serving as an RA, and earning 3 varsity letters in Track & Field.
Abe worked with Campus Crusade for Christ for five years as a full-time campus ministry planter, a blend of management, sales, education and event planning. He's planned and directed long-term international mission trips for large groups, and sold an intangible cause through connecting with potential donors and effectively presenting his case. Abe has spoken in front of groups ranging up to 3000 people, and has worked with Presidents and administrators at some of the leading universities in the country.
As Executive Direcor of the Young Professionals of Central Virginia (part of the Region2000 government partnership), Abe feels excited to work with such a vibrant community of smart, fun people. His goal is to help young professionals grow in community, knowledge, and service, attracting new, young, talent to Region 2000 and retaining the wealth of talent that it already has. Abe is blessed to be one of six executive directors that serve as the pace and direction setters for much of the regional government.
Abe's goals are always to work to the best of his ability and to challenge himself to make that "best" even better. He believes firmly in 3 basic business principals that transcend age, occupation, gender, religion, and politics.
Think Positively. Be daring. Move fast.
