After 27 years working in health care administration, I have moved into the real estate field and enjoy it immensely. It is a pleasure to help people make one of the largest transactions they will ever make. For the past three years, I've been learning about real estate finance, rules and regulations, appraisal, title and escrows, and physical properties of homes and equipment. I want to assist people in the sale or purchase of their home with the least stress possible on their part.
Real estate in Mariposa consists mostly of expertise in country living. We are a Right to Agriculture community and many of our properties are in the Williamson Act. This act reduces property owners taxes and secures large parcels of land for agricultural purposes.

What fun to help people buy and sell property. I've always enjoyed owning property myself and have purchased my own homes, and numerous rental homes (as 1031 exchanges).
Mariposa is beautiful and the realtors in town get together once a week to look at the new properties on the Multiple Listing Service. Most of the places look like parks, and we often see deer and other animals on our tour of homes.
I've learned a lot about wells, water storage, septic systems, boundary markers and easements. The first house I sold had a dirt driveway over the neighbors' property, but there was no legal easement. I wrote a deed adjustment with the help of the title company, and the neighbors granted legal use of the road.
Life in the country is different and I love sharing its charm with others.
