I'm a writer, literary series producer and spoken word performer with a creative career spanning almost fifteen years.
My creative writing appears in dozens of print and online publications including; The Guardian, Small Spiral Notebook, BLOOM, Reactions 5, Pills, Thrills, Chills and Heartache, The Milk of Almonds and Poetry Nation. I've written articles, book reviews and artist profiles for KGB Bar Lit, GoNYC, AfterEllen.com, Scene360.com, BUST and Velvet Park Magazine. I was a Contributing Editor for UntilMonday:BKLN, a Brooklyn-based online arts and entertainment magazine from October 2006 - March 2007.
I created PVC: The Poetry Vs. Comedy Variety Show, a monthly slam-style competition between performance poets and comedians at the Bowery Poetry Club in NYC. The show has received lots of great press and was recently listed in The New Yorker. I also curated and hosted the ATOMIC Reading Series for two years in Brooklyn in addition to organizing several other reading series, spoken word tours and literary evenings over the years.
As a performer, I've appeared throughout the U.S. and Canada, in the U.K., Paris and in Australia. I've been written about in in Velvet Park Magazine, The High Plains Reader, Gothamist.com, RainbowNetwork.com and various other publications.
