Certified Project Manager, Web Developer & Owner at Tepato Systems, Inc.
Greater Detroit Area
I've been in IT since 1992, and I've been a project manager for about 11 years of that time. After five years at EDS, I got into a series of consulting and contracting roles. While I learned a lot at each client, I became burned out by the instability of contract work and felt a little homeless.
I began a position at Netlink as a Senior Project Manager in September of 2007. At Netlink, I finally felt like I had found a home. I had a great boss, worked with interesting people, and had the opportunity to do a variety of projects to broaden my skills. Unfortunately, they were suffering in this slow economy as are many other firms, and I was downsized in October 2008.
Since then, I have been looking for a new Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Program Manager role in the Detroit area. I'm open to some travel (up to 30%), or to telecommuting full or part time. Please contact me if you hear about any good PM positions in the Detroit metro area.
Good luck to everyone - may your job be secure and your bills get paid.
