Chief Troublemaker, Brand Strategist, Creative Director, Keynote Speaker & Social Media Marketer at Curve Detroit
Greater Detroit Area
Charlie is a purveyor of attention. He helps growing brands stand out from the clutter and demand attention with a blend of online and traditional marketing tactics. He puts ideas into action—leveraging his passion, creativity and experience to achieve client business goals.
He opened the doors of Curve Detroit Advertising, Marketing & Design after being thrown out of several well respected ad agencies. As a writer, designer and strategist, he has delivered blue sky ideas and bottom line results for blue chip local and national clients including: Saturn, Mazda, Boyne, Sanders Candy and Blue Cross.
When he’s not building brands, you’ll find Charlie on the speaking circuit with his good friend Terry Bean. They inspire, educate and entertain audiences with keynote presentations on social networking, branding, marketing and applying the law of attraction to the world of business.
on the personal side
He loves ice cream, hiking in Tobermory and the feel of Lake Michigan sand between his toes. His dislikes include poorly designed billboards, speed limits and people who flick cigarette butts out the window. He’s happily married to his unhappily married wife, Elena. They live in Oakland County with their son Lanagan Jack and an insane cat named Stitch.
In a past life, Charlie was the lead singer of Brave New World and a terrible stand-up comic. He loves skiing, softball, hiking, tennis and despite his better judgment, the Detroit Lions. He dreams of Michigan as the alternative energy capital of the globe and a day when America doesn’t import a drop of oil.
in the community
Charlie supports HAVEN Domestic Violence Shelter, Paws With A Cause, Motor City Blight Busters, Red Cross, Children’s Hospital and the Michigan Nature Association.
