September 1999 — November 2004 (5 years 3 months)
As an Information Architect, my responsibility centered around developing blueprints connecting web site features, functionality, and content in logical constructs based on insights from end-user research and business stakeholder input.
With a strong background in graphic design and web technology, my actions as an Information Architect centered around working with the various team diciplines and providing stronger context and direction towards a solution that was both technically feasible and and a design that was flexible.
My role internally also assumed responsibility for consultant education and mentorship of junior staff, as well as working with executive management on a number of corporate initiatives aimed at evolving our industry practice.
(Public Company; 1001-5000 employees; ACOM; Design industry)
July 1995 — August 1999 (4 years 2 months)
As a Designer and Site Builder, I was responsible for translating brand and creative direction, along with site requirements into a usable and engaging design. This involved working with illustration assets, photography, typography, and style guides to represent the brand appropriately online. In addition, leveraging the latest technologies during the build process to ensure a flexible system and engaging interactivity.
Through the combination of creative design skill and engineering, I was able to understand both sides of the spectrum, as well as assume any issues or design constraints due to technical limitations of the time.
