Technical Communicator and Content Strategist; Web Hosting and Website Design
Greater Boston Area
I create topic-based end-user documentation (print and online) and websites, provide accessible website design (to W3C standards) and web hosting, and develop custom training materials for Author-it and RoboHelp.
I speak around the world at various conferences and meetings on a variety of topics. I speak for free to STC chapters (expenses must be covered).
I am a moderator for several user groups, such as HATT and MSHelp2, and have been recognized by Microsoft as a Help MVP because of my volunteer efforts.
My company owns HAT-Matrix.com, used by Help authors around the world to compare features of various Help authoring tools. I maintain the overall features list and verify all updates.
I am an Author-it Certified Consultant and I'm always interested in development and content-development contracts (for example, using my time-tested methods for importing content into Author-it; creating Author-it libraries with all the core pieces necessary for implementation (media objects, topic templates, styles, AfterPublish macros, and so on); creating customized Author-it outputs; RoboHelp development; creating user documentation).
I can be found on Twitter (as both @CharJTF and @helpstuff, which is a broadcast-only account), and Facebook.
