Complete ownership of the product development program involving supervision of a 50+ engg team and driving a 40+ crossfunctional team consisting of upstream marketing, services, training, intellectual property, sourcing, manufacturing, regulatory, quality etc. Responsible to the business for delivering the product from conception to General Availability.
The 50+ engg team is distributed across three locations in the US and in India. The 40+ cross-functional team is distributed across more locations in the US. This role requires extreme degree of virtual collaboration across geographies and influencing skills.
Major tasks are definition of functional deliverables and cross-functional estimation and program planning; effective communication of the plan to the team; drive overall execution control and report out periodically to executive leadership team; management of program resources, schedules and risk.

Responsibility increased to leading multiple projects as the SOFTWARE FUNCTIONAL LEADER for India Surgery Engineering Team. This was a very cross-functional role involving interaction with other functional engineering teams, upstream marketing etc. Attended product clinical trials in Europe and America.
Gained in depth knowledge of product development lifecycle as program core team member and LEAD SYSTEM DESIGNER (for the last half year). The developed products are now leading the global surgical c-arm marketplace for GE.
Also, acquired invaluable experience in setting up new team and supporting infrastructure through ownership of HIRING and software development process \ tool setup.
