Chae duPont is a partner in the law firm of Morris, duPont & Mansfield, PA. In her former position as Director of Litigation at Eastern Air Lines Ms. duPont managed the arbitration process when the airline sued over 7600 travel agencies and personally represented the airline in over twelve hundred arbitrations worldwide. As Director of Litigation she also managed and represented the airline in international lawsuits in all areas of corporate litigation, including real estate, commercial contracts, vendor and passenger claims, and governmental disputes.
After leaving the airline world, Ms. duPont practiced commercial and bankruptcy litigation at Kozyak, Tropin & Throckmorton, an AV rated law firm in Miami. Her work there included being on the team of lawyers that represented over 600,000 physicians in the landmark class action lawsuit In Re: Humana Managed Care Litigation, MDL Case No. 1334. In addition to her class action work, Ms. duPont represented clients in bankruptcy matters, securities litigation, and complex commercial cases.
Ms. duPont is an Honorary Trustee of the Museum of Contemporary Art (“MOCA”) where she co-chaired the museum’s annual fundraiser to raise money for MOCA’s permanent collection. She is also a member of the Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council, which distributes grant funds to local art groups on Miami Beach. She is a certified USSailing Certified Sailing Instructor who volunteers her time to Shake-A-Leg Miami, a non-profit organization, where she teaches Introduction to Sailing and Intermediate Sailing classes to physically, mentally and financially disadvantaged members of the South Florida community.
