Chad Voller’s Summary

My experience has been a mile wide in I.T., from break-fix to complex server issues. The best thing to me about working in I.T. is that it combines the joy of working with people and my passion for technology. There is a person on the end of every transaction, no matter how technical or mechanical it seems.

Chad Voller’s Specialties:

Network engineering, Microsoft Active Directory, ASP.NET web development, primarily using the DotNetNuke platform.

  • Network Support Consultant

    Centers For Dialysis Care

    (Information Technology and Services industry)

    October 2006October 2007 (1 year 1 month)

I worked for the I.T. department at the Centers for Dialysis Care. I continued to document and standardize operating procedures for the I.T. department, as technical writing is somewhat of a perpetual form of art. Help Desk calls were routed to my phone for the initial screen and support of most level 1 and 2 calls, though I frequently relied on the help of my teammates Bob, Mattie, Wendy, Scott, and the Director, Mark.

I built the extranet, but never really got my hands on the Intranet project. LOVE helping people who call in need, because, hey, that's what we do. Enjoying learning Microsoft Visual Studio, DotNetNuke, SQL Server 2005, Sharepoint, and hopefully much more!

  • Sales Representative

    Family Heritage

(Privately Held; 201-500 employees; Insurance industry)

    20062006 (less than a year)

  • Operations Manager

    Clarke Electric Company, INC

    (Security and Investigations industry)

    February 2004September 2005 (1 year 8 months)

Clarke Electric was an old-school, "do it the right way" commercial security company. Our primary focus was design and installation of physical security system in banks, government buildings, schools, etc. I sat in what was affectionately known as "The Chair." We always said it tongue-in-cheek, because it was not really an enviable position. I managed all installations, service dispatching, purchasing, shipping, receiving, hiring and firing of technical field staff. At one point 13 people reported to me, and I learned sooo much about business, relationships, what to do, what not to do, all that good stuff. Also helped build the company's mission, vision, core values and objectives. It was a great experience, one that I will always be thankful for.

Grove City is a leader in the collegiate world. It is without a doubt the absolute best education you can get at a private school for the money. I met my awesome wife, Allyson, there, and had loads of experiences that I cherish to this day. It was at Grove City that I first learned to play both guitar and piano and developed a passion for ministry.
