BNI is the worlds largest referral organization whose members generated 5.5 million referrals and $2.2 billion in first time business.
My role at Referrals4Life (a BNI franchise) is to assist the Area Director with the creation of Corporate Connections chapters in Atlanta, as well as provide support to these chatpers.
Corporate Connections is an experimental program within BNIa nd is not currently available in all markets. Differences from tradtional chapters include:
1. They are comprised solely of members who sell to other businesses. Businesses that sell directly to consumers are generally not allowed.
2. Stricter membership criteria. Members must have 5-10 years in their industry, serve businesses with $5 million+ net worth and pass a reference check and membership committee review),
3. They have higher membership fees (which are still very minimal relative to the ROI. e.g. I have personaly sold $80,000+ in my group within 6 months).

I was named Top Gun in my AIT class. Because of this I was on the Fire Direction Control (FDC) squad of every mortar platoon I ever served on (Korea and Ft. Strewart, GA). My job was to take fire requests from forward observers and run those requests through a ballistics computer which would convert the request information (coordinates, win speed, spread of fire, types of rounds, etc.) into numbers that the firing line needed to aim their mortars. Being on FDC, we were also in charge for communications for the platoon and maintained several radios in our M-577.
