Christopher Gabriel is the host of The Christopher Gabriel Program on AM 970 WDAY and wday.com in Fargo, North Dakota.
Christopher began his radio career at 100.3 KTLK in Minneapolis. Within the first 18 months he was hosting his own weekend show, The Saturday Tabloid, co-hosting For What it's Wirth with Jeffrey Wirth and filling in as a host or co-host on other KTLK programs. He was also an on-air contributor and associate producer for The Pat Kessler Show, the producer of The KTLK Morning Show, The Fox Morning News and Chowhounds with Andrew Zimmern (also hosting Chowhounds when Zimmern was away shooting Bizarre Foods for The Travel Channel) while recording numerous voiceovers for Clear Channel Minneapolis (KTLK, KDWB, K102, KFAN, Cities 97, KOOL 108).
Christopher also worked at 107.1 WFMP in St. Paul as the producer and an on-air contributor for The Andrew Zimmern Show and a frequent guest host for several weekend shows while continuing to record voiceovers for both WFMP and am1500 KSTP.
In the 26 years prior to coming to radio his theatrical resume included more than 100 plays, performing Off Broadway in NYC, at regional theatres in the United States and in the Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland. In that time he had the privilege of working with acclaimed actors, writers and directors such as James Earl Jones, Julie Harris, Mitch Albom, Jeffrey Hatcher, John Houseman, Duncan Ross and John Barton. He's also worked with a donkey possessing overactive bowels, a psychotic bird with an attitude and two angry Yorkshire Terriers.
As a writer, Christopher is a weekly humor columnist for Fargo's daily newspaper, The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. His blog has been published by major news groups including Reuters, the Chicago Sun-Times and the websites for USA Volleyball and the U.S. Olympic Committee. And his audio satire The Farmland Almanac with Harrison Beillor is a weekly feature on his radio program.
On-air hosting/co-hosting, voiceovers, production (includes writing, performing and producing radio theatre, parodies and "bits") and imaging.
As a performer, taking a shared journey with an audience is the same whether the audience is live in a theatre or listening on the radio at home, at the office or in the car. Ultimately the most important component in this work is having an honest, and hopefully entertaining, conversation that compels the audience to stay engaged and return every day.

Christopher's weekly humor column, published every Monday on the front page of the Life section, takes a lighter look at current events, sports and everyday life. In some ways, it's a print version of his radio program. The primary difference: A lot less words are used.
