A.T. Cross is a quality writing instrument manufacturer. That's a fancy way of saying that they may nice (and kind of pricey) pens.
At A.T. Cross, I provided human resource support to a 500 person employee population in the areas of recruiting, employee communications, training and development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits administration.
I also developed strategic HR programs, including a new hire onboarding program, performance management program, and an internship program.
Some of the cool stuff I did at AT Cross:
- Designed and implemented comprehensive performance management program that aligned behavioral competencies with competitive, operational and functional strategies. Included training managers and employees internationally and at all levels of company.
- Full-cycle recruiting for non-exempt and internship positions, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing, selection and extending offers. Close partnership with hiring managers resulted in high quality of hire and manager satisfaction rate.
- Developed new hire onboarding program that aligned new hires with corporate objectives and enabled them to quickly reach full productivity. Ongoing participation as onboarding coordinator and orientation leader. Resulted in enhanced new hire performance.
- Coordinated compensation and benefits programs, including merit increase and bonus administration, annual healthcare open enrollment, COBRA administration, and plan administration for new hires and terminating employees.
- Provided coaching to employees and managers on employee relations issues, career development, and general human resource questions, resulting in improved employee performance, higher levels of engagement and clear understanding of policies and programs.
