Being in the marketing & advertising industry for more than 15 years, Cem Argun explored many different aspects of the business, by starting an early career in advertising at multinational ad agencies like BBDO & Y&R. Later on joining Wunderman Istanbul, he acquired a solid direct marketing & CRM know-how and consolidated that experience into than newly emerging permission based interactive projects. Leading the Ford account team he initiated uniquely creative, yet confidently accountable projects like "zagallo.com" to promote Ford Ka.
Enjoying direct marketing & CRM, he accepted a new assignment from Dogus Media Group: to start from scratch the subscription & consumer marketing business of a magazine publishing start-up. Together with his team they, launched National Geographic magazine's Turkish edition and gave birth to Turkey's best selling consumer magazine with record breaking subscription and newsstand figures. The ground breaking multi-channel subscription operation was recognized as one of the best by the National Geographic Society.
Involved in many interactive & online projects as independent consultant, he later on co-founded TargetYouth, a youth marketing agency creating cross-media integrated projects mixing online, mobile, events, viral & mass media. TargetYouth, being Turkey's first demographic marketing agency, served blue-chip clients & brands like Garanti, Akbank, Turkcell, Dogan Online, e-kolay.net, Turk.net, Coca-Cola, Mynet, IKEA etc...
During this time TargetYouth also formed a strategic alliance with Wunderman Istanbul, to bid & win the IKEA account. Cem led the team that created & managed the country launch and all retail advertising campaigns of the brand for over 2 years.
