Technical Team Leader at ESSS
Brazil
M.Sc and D.Sc in Computational Fuid Dynamics (CFD) at the Chemical Engineering Programme at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro PEQ/COPPE/UFRJ), I have been working at ESSS since 2007.
Previously, I have worked at Nitriflex, a polymer industry located in Rio de Janeiro, and at Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ), as researcher. I also have many years of experience on teaching at private universities and high schools.
For more than 5 years I have worked at Special Projects Division of Chemtech, where I was responsible for computer simulation, risk analysis and biofuel projects. My main responsability was guarantee the technical quality of projects conducted by my team, generally with 5 up to 10 engineers. I was also responsible for technical contacts with clients and academic activities. During my activities at Chemtech, I used CFD softwares like PHOENICS (CHAM), CFX (ANSYS), FLACS (GEXCON) and other softwares such as Chemcad (process simulator - Chemstations) and PHAST (software for vulnerability analysis - DNV).
Nowadays I work as a Thechnical Team Leader at Engineering Simulation and Software Solutions (ESSS), a technology based enterprise, leader in CFD consultancy projects throughout South America. The company is located in Florianopolis (Brazil) but has offices in many other cities like Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Santiago in Chile. My function is to support all technical activities regarding Chemical Process Industry in general, and Oil and Gas Industries in particular.
I am specially interested in Reactive and Multiphase Flow Computational Analisys, in Risk Analysis (CFD software for safety studies) and in the design of new oil, gas and biofuels processes.
