As the Marshall Christensen Foundation has evolved, we were blessed to bring Geoff Guilfoy, former OPB Board Chairman and Principal of AKT Financial, onto our board of directors, and help us develop into Co-Serve International. It's a huge step in the direction of providing esteem to international students that want to embrace servant leadership principles in their educational and professional pursuits. The MCF allowed me the opportunity to participate in these subjects in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Mexico, and here at home in the United States. I'm looking forward to how I can be used in the next chapter of our development. The first assignment: develop an online community of our audience for the benefit of deepening and implementing servant leadership principles in international places of learning.
(Non-Profit Organization Management industry)
May 2005 — Present (4 years 7 months)
I originally consulted the Wolf Education & Research Center and presented a business plan to the Board of Directors that would help the organization re-brand itself in the face of a diminishing presence in its field. Upon presentation of the plan, the Board asked me to implement the plan as Executive Director. Our plan involves identifying WERC as a source of information and education related to the conservation and preservation of the gray wolf species. We carry this plan out by reaching out in areas including K-12 education, on-site public outreach, intern development, and online & print publications. In 2008, WERC brought in a new pack of wolves to use as ambassadors for our education and intern programs, allowing people to get face to face with a better understanding of wolves in healthy ecosystems---the centerpiece of our message.
