Catherine Mylinh has been managing corporate communications for a national company with 1,600 employees, and offices throughout North America.
She is also freelancing on-air talent at NBC11 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Catherine has been a part of the NBC family for some time, having worked as a broadcast journalist at the NBC station in Fresno, Calif. where she served as anchor, reporter and weathercaster for KSEE 24 News from 2005 to 2008.
Before Catherine joined KSEE 24, she spent time in the Southwest working as a reporter and producer for CBS stations KBIM in Roswell, New Mexico and KRQE in Albuquerque.
She also has experience in government and public affairs, holding marketing communications roles within non-profit and environmental agencies.
Catherine has garnered Associated Press awards for her series of in-depth stories on domestic violence and its longterm effects on the community. She has also been honored by the Alzheimer's Association for her coverage of Alzheimer's patients and their families' daily struggles with the debilitating illness. In 2006, Catherine was part of team coverage which earned an Emmy Award for Best Daytime Newscast.
Catherine graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in journalism and political science, and additional studies in math and computer science. Her broadcast career began in San Francisco where she worked at KICU and "Silicon Valley Business," a weekly show about the Bay Area's business and tech sectors.
