Cassel is a seasoned social media strategist with a solid background in traditional and digital B2C and B2B communications.
As a social media strategist, Cassel has advised and helped companies as diverse as Cold-EEZE, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), Spirit of America and ClearWater Initiaitve establish and cultivate their social media presence and persona.
As a communications consultant, Cassel has advised and managed the public relations programs for companies including: Adify, Brand.net, Syncsort, Torex Retail Holdings, Breakthrough Management Group, Gottaplay, Visionary Vehicles, GSX Groupware Solutions, iDNA, VOCEL, My Studio, and Provision Interactive Technologies.
Prior to his work at Horn Group, Cassel helped found The Lexicomm Group, a strategic communications firm that specialized in positioning companies and executives as industry thought leaders. He has also worked with HWH Public Relations/New Media, Burns McClellan Life Science Communications, GCI Group, CANBOX Unified Communication Systems, The Consensus Building Institute, The Center for War, Peace and the News Media and Walnut Park Productions.
Cassel holds a B.A. in Biology from Earlham College, a M.A. in Law and Diplomacy with a concentration in International Business and Communications from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a second M.A. in Conflict Resolution with a concentration in Crisis Management and community relations from the McGregor School at Antioch University.
