Cartwright is Vice President of Product Development & Solutions at Ingram Content Corporation, the largest book distributor, print-on-demand manufacturer, and independent ebook and audiobook distributor in the world.
Cartwright has been an active leader in the Internet multimedia industry since its inception. In 1990, while writing research software at Drexel University, Cartwright co-founded Intelligence at Large (IAL), which created the first multipoint videoconferencing products for the Internet and partnered with Apple and Quarterdeck Corporation. In 1996, IAL products were acquired by Quarterdeck, and in 1998, IAL licensed its patents to Micron and Lucent.
In 2000, Cartwright helped spin out PageCam, a Xerox company that created the world's first mobile tools for capturing content with PDAs and mobile phones. In 2003, Cartwright founded iofy Corporation, a company that developed patent-pending techniques to productize digital audio and text, and commercialized content for Simon & Schuster and Berlitz. Ingram acquired iofy’s product team in 2008, and iofy’s marketing and web services group became Audiofy Corporation.
Cartwright is an inventor on eight patents for his work in Internet and multimedia technology. He co-authored Addison-Wesley’s “Mac Programming Primer” series of books that used simple language and fun programs to introduce people to software development. The series sold over 200,000 titles and was published in five languages. Cartwright earned a BA degree combining Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and English from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Audiofy developed the iofy digital media platform for spoken audio that enables distributors, publishers, resellers and consumers a digital audio experience superior to any other solution and is compatible with almost every consumer electronics device on the market. The platform and the development team was acquired by Ingram Corporation in 2008.
Audiofy has partnered with dozens of publishers and distributors, including Simon & Shuster, FranklinCovey, Ingram, and many others.
