Cartwright Reed has been a leader in developing digital media content companies since 1990.
Cartwright is currently Vice President, Application Development and Solutions for Ingram Digital. He is developing and implementing digital media solutions and working with other Ingram divisions to develop IP and strategic options.
Formerly, Cartwright founded and was president of Audiofy (iofy) corporation. The Company has contracts with Simon & Schuster, Ingram, FranklinCovey, Blackstone Audio, Soundview and many other publishers.
Prior to founding iofy, Cartwright co-founded Intelligence at Large (IAL) in July of 1990. Between 1990 and 1997, the company developed and marketed the first multi-point video conferencing solution. IAL is now actively promoting its VOIP and videoconferencing patent portfolio in partnership with BTG (www.btgplc.com), a public company focused on technology licensing.
Cartwright was also the president of Prima Facie, a leading provider of transit video security systems. At Shipstone, his consulting company, he was president of PageCam, a Xerox spin-out that delivered the first practical camera-based software OCR solutions to the mobile market.
Cartwright is an inventor or co-inventor on eight U.S. patents for his work in Internet multimedia communications technology. He is a co-author of the popular "Programming Primer" series from Addison-Wesley.
Cartwright earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree that combined Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and English from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

The company also created products with Apple Corporation and Microsoft in the net multimedia space, particularly for Apple's QuickTime technology and Microsofts NetShow (now MediaPlayer) products.

Audiofy is a premiere direct sales and reseller of digital audiobook products, including sales from web sites including pimsleurdirect.com, audiofy.com, and many others. Audiofy is a partner with Ingram Digital, and offers digital spoken audio content using Ingram's iofy audiobook platform.
Audiofy developed the iofy digital media platform for spoken audio that enables distributors, publishers, resellers and consumers a digital audio experience superior to any other solution and is compatible with almost every consumer electronics device on the market. The platform and the development team was acquired by Ingram Corporation in 2008.
Audiofy has partnered with dozens of publishers and distributors, including Simon & Shuster, FranklinCovey, Ingram, and many others.
Audiofy has been selling digital audiobooks on memory cards since 2004. Audiofy audiobook chips are available for sale at www.audiofy.com, www.pimsleurdirect.com and other sites.
