Thanks for your interest!
I founded my business communications firm in 1996. Cartwright Communications is an insightful team of senior-level business communicators. We are all former journalists. Newsroom experience and perspective is critical during tumultuous times in the news industry. We have trusted reporter/editor contacts. We understand the need for a careful hand in community, shareholder, and employee communications. And we have practical business ideas for social/citizen/online media formats.
We work for a select number of clients, allowing us the time to deliver quality results and individual attention to those who put their trust in us.
Cartwright Communications is the recipient of a 2002 “Giant Step” Small Business Award from the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
We've worked for a number of well-known national, regional and local clients in the areas of finance, law, commercial real estate, telecommunications, construction, and business-to-business. Among those: University of Phoenix, Bank of American Fork, Commerce CRG, Reebok, Sprint PCS, Nextel and VanCott Law.
I was very honored to be selected as one of 30 Women to Watch by Utah Business magazine in 2005. Working extensively with reporters and the public during the demolition, reconstruction and grand opening of the Salt Palace Convention Center, I also helped host the NBA All-Star Game and the U.S. Olympic Committee's Nagano Olympics media briefing event. Just one day prior to the 2002 Winter Olympics, I worked with Reebok to stage its annual Human Rights Awards in Salt Lake City.
Prior experience includes ten years in television and radio news as a reporter, producer and anchor in Salt Lake City, Utah and Tucson, Arizona. Additional background: Communications Director for the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau and Salt Lake County Commission.

Often, because PR firms use their senior people in management, they employ less-experienced individuals to do the frontline work, which is very risky. I don't. I understand the need for a careful hand.
