I've worked for over 25 years in social care, qualifying as a social worker in 1981. My experience has spanned generic social work to community based programmes for young offenders, from setting up new teams in local authority settings to fund raising in the voluntary sector. I have been a practitioner, researcher, trainer and manager always involved with cutting edge projects and many new challenges. I currently work independently doing consultancy, research and training with a range of social care organisations, and have set up a venue in Portsmouth offering space for local business and the community to 'meet, relax, learn and create'. My goal is to make this a successful self supporting business, and to continue finding new and exciting challenges in life and work.
