Associate/Corporate Broker at Signature Properties NW, Inc.
Greater Seattle Area
I have about 30 years of Real Estate industry experience, ranging from Mortgage to Real Estate Sales and Investments.
My goal is to help people to achieve their dream of owning a home and to save them money in the process.
I love working with people who appreciate bottom-lines and no-nonsense. If you're an Engineer - you probably appreciate my direct approach and attention to detail and the facts. If you are an Agent, you might be happy to know that I love helping other Agents (regardless of what company you belong) and I give out Referrals ALL the time, all over the U.S..
And, as a matter of fact, if you are an Agent looking for the right fit for YOU - ask me why I am where I am. I have been to at least 10 other offices and can tell you the Pros and Cons of them all. Save yourself some time and aggravation from MY experience. Sometimes you don't find out the "truth" until you join and see if the company can Walk the Talk!
Companies are getting more and more competitive and offering more benefits, etc... Several have a "Profit Sharing" program, etc...
My specialties are Luxury and Custom Homes outside Seattle city limits. My favorite cities are Bothell, Edmonds, Everett, Issaquah, Lynnwood and Snohomish.
I also love to work with properties in Kirkland and Redmond and the surrounding areas up through Issaquah.
I pride myself on finding my Clients those "Best Kept Secrets" of Snohomish County!

November 2008 — Present (1 year 1 month)
Working closely with the Owner/Designated Broker of Signature Properties NW, Inc. to ensure that we have the BEST Real Estate office in Washington state.
I'll be holding Training classes and personally helping Agents with any issues they may have.
We will have Brokers' Open tours EVERY Thursday, meeting at our office by 10:30 a.m. and viewing at least 5 homes together weekly. EVERY Agent is welcome to join us (regardless of what office you belong to)!
I plan to be available at the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ask me about our Profit Sharing program AND the fee structures.
After being assoicated with over 10 different companies, I've come BACK to this company because I have found it to have the strongest integrity and commitment to service. This company earned my respect in many different aspects.
This is where I plan to exert my energies, in helping this office to grow and prosper!

August 2008 — November 2008 (4 months)
Reviewed Contracts of the Agents in the office and held Training/Classes. I joined this company BRIEFLY, to see if they walked the talk. This office no longer exists, it merged with another office. I'm now back to a former Brokerage, Signature Properties NW, Inc. as their Corporate Broker.

August 2007 — August 2008 (1 year 1 month)
I was invited by the Broker/Owner to come here (we worked for a couple years at another Brokerage). She tried hard, but the company didn't survive during these challenging economic times. I wish her the best!
(Self-Employed; 11-50 employees; Real Estate industry)
May 2007 — August 2007 (4 months)
I was an Agent here BRIEFLY but didn't want to be associated with a Real Estate company who had a moving truck advertised in their front parking area. I don't believe in giving away the use of a FREE moving truck, to promote me. I provide more to my Clients than that! The "elite" name didn't hold up the reputation that I wanted. The Broker/Owner there is a great guy, but we didn't agree on business practices.

April 2007 — May 2007 (2 months)
I tried this office BRIEFLY. Sometimes it doesn't take long, to find out that an office is not your "fit". This office no longer exisits.

December 2006 — April 2007 (5 months)
A former associate from John L. Scott recommended that I join this company. Laura Reynolds really impressed me and she was very willing to share her experience with Agents regarding working Plats. Laura provided extensive training for new agents and allowed agents to sit her plats for easy sales. It wasn't a good "fit" for me, because I like to be more creative. It was a great office for agents learning the business. And, I loved being here, to see her style and to absorb as much knowledge from her as I could. However, it no longer exists.

August 2006 — December 2006 (5 months)
I joined this company to expand my knowledge in different areas (started in Granite Falls) and while I was here I studied and became "certified" as a Marketing Master while also starting my Broker classes.
I was impressed with this company because of the other Agents associated with it. We had fun in the office and enjoyed helping each other and working for a common goal.
We all kept in touch while I went out to explore other offices.

February 2005 — August 2006 (1 year 7 months)
This is an awesome company for Agents who do not need direction and want the freedom to work as they choose. My Broker (Phil Dankes) is a great guy and helps you when you need it.
We were only about 15 agents of their over 4000 within the company who were "REALTORs" assoicated with the REALTOR Association and we all held extensive education and training backgrounds. This company no longer exisits with this name, it is now called Skyline Properties NW.
I recommend this company for Agents who want to hang their license and do what they want, without guidance or direction. If you need or like to work with people regularly, this may not be the place for you. Here everyone is really busy working on their own.

Although they have a GREAT training program and awesome classes, I found this company wasn't really for me. I needed/wanted more freedom to work on my own.
There were a couple friendships that I maintained & value during my brief association here.

Speech 1980 — 1980
I graduated early from East Aurora High School, so that I could sneak away to the community college to take the college requirement "Speech" class. For some reason, I had always been shy in school and was petrified of speaking in front of people I knew. I didn't have as much problem with the strangers in that class, until towards the end of the class, because I had bonded with several students by that time. It made me feel VERY self-confident. The last speech was about ourselves, we had to tell about our life. My speech ended up being so dramatic and emotional that at the end, I had a lump in my throat. I was so embarrassed that I packed up my props and left the class via a theatrical "Grand Exit". I didn't mean it to work out that way, I thought I probably flunked the class because I never returned. But, I got a "B". Thank goodness! ;-)
