Director of Marketing and Communications at Crisis Center of Tampa Bay
Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area
As the Director of Marketing & Communications at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, I am responsible for communicating the mission of the Crisis Center and the resources we provide to the community, as well as garnering support for the programs and services. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is a comprehensive mental health agency offering front line crisis intervention services to people experiencing serious trauma, such as suicide, sexual abuse or assault, as well as information and referral and support services to people coping with the stress of everyday life. We brought help, hope and healing to over 150,000 adults, children and families in Tampa Bay last year. www.crisiscenter.com
I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Public Relations, and minors in both Business Administration and Communications. I interned at Moffitt Cancer Center in media relations and at Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation in special events, working on Key to the Cure 2007, Moffitt Bowling "Ball" at Splitsville 2008 and Magnolia Ball 2008. I also interned with CEO Lounge radio show.
Networking is a great opportunity to meet new people and share common interests both professionally and personally so I am involved with EMERGE Tampa Bay, the young professionals program of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter, EWomen Network, 97 West, the young adult ministry of South Tampa Fellowship, Friends of St. Jude, S.T.Y.L.E., and YP Unite. Some personal causes I advocate for or volunteer with include Child Abuse Council, Meals on Wheels, High Hopes in High Heels, Friends of the Riverwalk, and NITE (Necessary Improvements to Transform our Environment) at USF.
I have a passion for people, especially children, and I love working in the nonprofit world. I want to make a difference in the lives of others.
I am just taking one day at a time...one project at a time...one person at a time, and maybe one day I can bring positive change to our world :)
