Goals:
1) To find excellent writers and publish them;
2) To promote the writing of my house authors;
3) To promote my own writing.
Bio:
Newspaper columnist Bruce Bellingham referred to me in print last April as "one of San Francisco's great characters".
Under the pen name Simona Wing, I write the Cold Open mysteries, set in the Holllywood of today and yesterday.
Primarily a literary essayist and publisher, I own and run the small press Cantarabooks, which is home to works in paperback and ebook, while my PDF-exclusive literary journal Cantaraville publishes short fiction, nonfiction, scripts and poetry from all over the world.
My life in pictures: I've served as amaneunsis to classic film director Rouben Mamoulian (IMDb snurl.com/mamou), and my work as a performer in the 70s during the "Golden Age of Porn" includes the feature movies of Gerard Damiano and several shorts in the Swedish Erotica series (IMDb snurl.com/canta).
With my life partner, editor-author Michael Matheny, I make the rounds of New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boulder, Hartford and Paris.
For more information, download the PDF cantarasinterview.notlong.com, which includes an early photo of me nude in the context of my old profession, and photos by me and by Oscar-winning cinematographer Robert Elswit.
