I'm on a mission is to bring spas and spa travel out of a cloistered existence into the mainstream - via unique promotion tactics combining my passion for international travel, culture and writing. Thereby, motivating others to spa and be healthy.
I created and wrote Art of the Spa to bring the spa home, which was recognized worldwide by publications such as American Spa, Healing Lifestyles and Travel & Leisure.
As a former healthcare executive, I know that stress reduction is a key factor in disease control and development and that the health/spa connection is strong.
In my role as spa consultant, I formulate brand and niche concepts then strategize marketing and public relation tactics for day, medical and luxury resort spas. As a former spa auditor, I approach my work from a service and profitability perspective.
Trained with former head of AAA ratings program, evaluating spas from the rigorous standards of AAA and Mobil.
My passion for the spa industry began over 20 years ago, when at the age of 16 I lost 50 pounds by creating a home weight loss program based on the Golden Door's plan.
