I work with groups, providing motivational speaking and hands-on workshops designed to help people take a new perspective on work and giving them the tools they need to make it a reality. My public speaking presentations are based on a theme of work and career-education empowerment for students and adults alike. These presentations have been described as ‘compelling and humorous’.

In a ‘past life’ as a secondary school educator, I engaged a wide variety of young adults in their education and future careers, regardless of area or level of study. I've worked with students in modified, regular and advanced stream programming, and was honoured to be selected to work with colleagues on the re-design of a ‘Career and Academic Readiness’ program for ‘at-risk’ students.

Personal Branding is a process that helps people recognize and build on their strengths and then create an effective personal marketing plan designed to move them towards their goals.

Personal Branding is most commonly used by job hunters and small business people - but it's also a FANTASTIC way to help engage youth in their own educations and set them up for work/life success. While the current focus of personal branding might seem to be on using Social Media for personal marketing, it's really about building true esteem through recognizing strengths.

CampbellDuke Personal Branding currently runs 2 programs:
* The 'Work You LOVE' program is focussed on providing a complete range of Personal Branding services to job hunters and career changers. http://WorkYouLOVE.ca.
* 'Werd OUT!' is a youth engagement program for secondary and post-secondary students. http://WerdOUT.ca.

B.Ed., Secondary Sciences (Biology & Chemistry)

1999 – 2002

Activities and Societies: Volunteered (and was then hired for the only on-site paid position) when we hosted the Canada-Wide Science Fair in 2002 - a week-long event that hosted 450 high school students, their chaperones and judges. All tolled, we housed, fed, entertained 1000 people over the course of the week. We also ran the national science fair and coordinated the awards ceremony. Tons of fun: Little sleep ;D.

B.Sc., Unspecialized Biological Sciences

1984 – 1988

Minor in the extended operation of a Rotary Evaporator. The samples being processed were important, but watching water dry doesn't require too much mental input. If you can find a job where they pay you to work on your homework - grab it!
