Coordinated the installation, setup and administration of a distributed engineering solution consisting of Bentley’s ProjectWise and AutoPLANT software between two (2) physical sites. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of AutoPLANT piping specifications on project for clients such as Shell, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and others.
- Conducted training classes on AutoPLANT, ProjectWise (User and Administrator) and Jacobs proprietory document management software (custom Lotus Domino database).
- Implemented an automated process to create Autodesk Navisworks design review files.
- Created a custom application that combined engineering data from several sources (SQL Server, Excel files, ProjectWise, etc.) into a single custom report to establish progress on a project. Resulted in the reduction of 10+ man hours of work per week thus resulting in a cost savings to the client.
- Customized Bentley AutoPLANT as needed. This included implementing a custom Isometric tracking and progressing package and the creation of custom Piping/Equipment components. The creation of custom Piping/Equipment components included the creation of temporary components with unique visual and data representations (General and Instrument) that could be reported on as necessary and included in the progressing of piping lines. This work resulted in a our clients receiving a higher quality of engineering deliverables and reduced the amount of hours necessary for data validation and deliverable checking. -
